My approach is hands-on and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building confidence through practical skills and understanding the “why” behind techniques. Lessons often begin with an introduction to the dish or skill, followed by step-by-step guidance as we cook together. I encourage questions and provide tips to adapt recipes, enhance flavours, and work efficiently in the kitchen. Creativity and fun are key—my goal is to make cooking approachable and enjoyable.
Each lesson typically runs for 1-2 hours, depending on the complexity of the dish or skill being taught. This ensures enough time for detailed instruction, practical application, and Q&A without feeling rushed.
I bring over 20 years of professional culinary experience, having worked as a chef in restaurants, catering, and events. I’ve trained kitchen teams, designed menus, and developed my own recipes, giving me the tools to teach effectively. I also have experience mentoring aspiring chefs, making me skilled at explaining complex techniques in simple, actionable ways.
