About Angel
Recently graduated at UNSW with a BA major in Advanced Chinese Studies. I love to teach Chinese and over the years I have created my own teaching materials to make things fun and accessible. Having previously studied with Beijing Film Academy and Beijing Normal University, I wish to bring more cultural exchanges to Australia whether it is via language learning, culture or film and media.

My default teaching method is via textbooks, I drill in the fundamentals of Pinyin vowels and the four tones before even considering starting to teach difficult characters. This is the same when learning English, you learn the alphabet and all the "sh" "th" "oo" sounds before you start spelling words. In later stages I would start giving them short sentences, short poems to read, to give them an in-depth understanding of the Chinese language.
