About Rumen
I am Mag. Art. Rumen Dobrev, an experienced opera singer and singing teacher with a university degree in solo singing.
As a student of KS Krassimira Stoyanova and through many years of intensive cooperation with the world-famous pianist and lied accompanist Prof. Norman Shetler, I experienced very valuable artistic as well as educational impulses that I would like to pass on.

I have won several international song competitions.
As a baritone, I have already played numerous operatic roles such as Figaro (Barbiere di Siviglia), Guglielmo (Cosi fan 'tutte), Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Valentin (Faust) and Jäger (The clever little fox). In 2012 I was a member of the ensemble of the children's opera at the Vienna State Opera and in recent years has been a regular guest at Theater LEO, where I have already performed in demanding Verdi parts for baritone as Amonastro (Aida), Jago (Otello), Macbeth, Nabucco, Renato (masked ball), Rigoletto and in Puccini's works as Marcello (La Boheme), Gianni Schicchi and Michele (Il Tabaro).

Singing is a complex interplay of body, mind and soul. First of all, it is particularly important to me to support and develop indispensable vocal, musical and scenic basics. They form the basis on which, step by step, true, personal artistic-musical expression can grow. As individual as each singer personality is, the vocal work must be just as unique. The respective genre and repertoire also require the right technical and musical implementation.
As a sound engineer, I also offer my students the opportunity to record themselves in the best studio quality and present themselves professionally if necessary.
