About Ask

I have over 15 years of clinical experience as a psychiatric nurse and just over a decade as an NLP Practitioner working as a life coach. Since qualifying as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist in 2015, I have been practising privately, initially through another agency, till I established a social enterprise company in 2017. I am governed by the BABCP (British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies), to ensure that what I am doing is up-to-date and in line with research evidence. I also deliver clinical supervision to trainees as well as qualified CBT psychotherapists. Working with a number of Universities in the UK, I am an approved in-house clinical supervisor as well as a visiting lecturer.

About the lesson

I offer 1-2-1 or group-based sessions to anyone 16 years+ in personal development using CBT and NLP-based techniques. Session aims are targeted to your desired (realistic) goals whilst each contact focuses on learning and overcoming key psychological barriers to reaching those goals. Sessions are up to an hour, delivered face-to-face or remotely via telephone or video link. Whatever it is you want to achieve in life, your mind must process it and accept it; learning (academic barriers), overcoming a bad habit (mental health issues) or aiming to achieve a goal (personal/professional development). Our sessions will specifically target how you are processing these barriers cognitively, identifying some of the learnt unhelpful behaviours associated with this, and then learning what you would need to do to break this pattern.

Please keep in mind that these are not therapy or clinical intervention sessions; these are my teaching rates. Once we agree to meet at a set time, that slot is guaranteed to you, so any cancellations made within 72hrs will result in me not being able to book someone else in. Naturally, there may be certain circumstances beyond your control that results in a late cancellation. We can talk about these and sort something out. In my experience, this approach encourages people to value their time. I can offer clinical sessions, to treat specific disorders such as depression, anxiety, stress, social anxiety, PTSD, Body Dysmorphia, and a range of others at a different rate.
