About Agastya
As a tutor, I've coached kids up over 250 points on the SAT and have worked with a range of kids (4th grade to high school), including those with learning disabilities like ADHD. I've been able to help with basics like communication, reading, and writing, and math all the way up to calculus. I've been TAing at the local community college since I was a junior in high school for advanced math (Calc 1-3, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra), which has taught me interpersonal skills AND hard math skills. I scored a 1580 on the SAT and 5s on exams including AP Calculus BC, AB, CS A, Biology, Statistics and more.

I'm an incoming student at the University College of London. As a tutor, I begin with a baseline assessment of where the student is at while offering minimal guidance. From there, we strategically target weak points in successive lessons to move towards measurable benchmarks. I'm a hands-on tutor; we'll spend more time in the lesson playing with numbers/words to understand how and why certain strategies work than memorizing testing tips and formulas.
