About Iliana
I have a Bachelor's degree in Physiology and Developmental Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. I know how tricky school can be and I want to help students achieve their educational goals.
I taught Anatomy for three years in college and loved every minute of it. What made teaching the most fun for me and my students was taking the time to build a safe learning environment. My priority is to make sure that students know they were capable of learning and having fun doing it. I encourage asking questions and having students practice teaching the material they are trying to master. In the three years that I taught, I never got a negative student review. I am extremely experienced at teaching, and my passion for science is infectious.

My teaching method focuses on entertaining repetition, pneumonics, and applied learning. I want my students to be able to teach me what they are learning and practice using their knowledge.
A typical lesson plan involves going over the basics of a system and then diving into the details and seeing how everything connects. I will make sure basics are understood before diving in to more difficult topics as everything in science builds on itself.
I am set apart as a tutor as I am extremely compassionate and an excellent listener. My teaching style is flexible and I will meet you wherever you are in the learning process. I will NEVER talk down to you. Learning is a process and I'm here to help you through it!
I can teach anything science related from middle school up to a mid-range collegiate course (200-300 class range).
