About Dempsey
As an education major, I am given the opportunity to participate in field experience hours within various classrooms to master my skills as a future teacher. I have been within a 7th grade life science classroom, a 10th grade honors biology class, and a 12th grade AP biology class. I also tutored a student one-on-one who was preparing to enter 7th grade. Through my practice and experience in the classroom and with students, I feel prepared and confident to assist and teach students in their education.

I am a senior at York College of Pennsylvania studying secondary education of biology. At York College, I am given the opportunity to teach lessons and interact within classrooms from grades 7-12th. I focus on an engaging hook to my lesson to spark interest. I value effective integration of technology within my lessons, coupled with interactive activities to keep my lessons fun and engaging. The most important goal of my lessons is to ensure a concrete understanding of the material while making it fun!!
