I have often heard students saying that mathematics is a difficult and confusing subject but after joining my classes, students have developed an interest towards the subject and some of them even consider mathematics as their favorite subject. I don't follow a particular strategy to conduct classes because I believe that each student has specific levels of understanding and thus the strategy needs to be charted out accordingly.
