About Jessica
I’m a college student in my thirties, currently studying Computer Science and English, and also a parent to a first grader. Along with my studies, I have hands-on tutoring experience with my younger brother and sister, who are in middle and elementary school—I work with them twice a week to strengthen their skills and confidence. In addition, I tutor a family friend’s child with special needs once a week, which has given me valuable experience in adapting lessons to meet different learning styles and needs. These experiences, both as a parent and tutor, have deepened my ability to connect with students and support them in ways that are patient, practical, and encouraging.

I offer tutoring for K–12 students in math, English, and history. As a current college student studying Computer Science and English, I bring both strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities to my teaching.
My teaching style is interactive and supportive. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations, using examples that connect to a student’s interests or everyday life. I also encourage active learning by asking questions, guiding practice problems, and helping students build strategies they can use independently.
What makes me different as a tutor is my ability to balance patience with progress. I know that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to match their learning style—whether they benefit most from visual aids, hands-on practice, or detailed explanations. I aim to make learning not just effective but also enjoyable.
My tutoring is designed for elementary through high school students (K–12) who want extra support in math, English, or history—whether that’s catching up on skills, preparing for tests, or pushing ahead for enrichment.
