I’m a Computer Science student at Columbia University, and I understand how competitive and demanding math and technical courses can be. Having gone through rigorous coursework myself, I know what it takes to succeed.

About the lesson

As a Computer Science student at Columbia University, I bring both strong technical knowledge and a clear, structured teaching style to every lesson. I specialize in tutoring math (from algebra through calculus) and computer science topics such as data structures, algorithms, and introductory programming.

My approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, intuitive steps. I emphasize understanding over memorization, and walking students through the “why” behind each problem so they can apply the same logic independently. I also adapt my teaching style to each student, whether they prefer visual explanations, step-by-step derivations, or hands-on practice.

A typical lesson includes reviewing key concepts, working through guided examples, and then applying those ideas to practice problems together. I make sure students not only get the right answer, but understand the full process.

What sets me apart is my ability to explain difficult material clearly and patiently, especially for students who feel stuck or overwhelmed. I’ve worked through these subjects at a high level myself, so I know where students commonly struggle, and how to help them push past it.
