About Jaxon
I am a Physics tutor with 6 years of experience and a BSc in Physics with First Class Honors. I have taught over 205 students across all Physics levels. My teaching is specifically known for its ability to develop genuine physical intuition alongside mathematical competence, because I believe these two dimensions of Physics understanding are inseparable and that teaching which neglects either one produces students who are either mathematically capable but physically confused or physically intuitive but numerically unreliable. Let me help you develop the complete Physics understanding that combines strong intuition with reliable mathematical method.

My Physics teaching specifically prioritizes physical intuition — the ability to reason about how physical systems will behave based on a deep understanding of physical principles, before any mathematical calculation — because students who have strong physical intuition can check whether their mathematical answers are sensible, catch their own errors, and approach novel problems more effectively than those who can only calculate. I develop physical intuition through prediction exercises at the start of every topic — asking students to describe what they think will happen in a physical scenario, with justification, before we study the formal Physics — because the experience of having a prediction confirmed or corrected by the Physics builds genuine intuitive understanding that passive instruction does not. My approach to electrostatics builds physical intuition for electric fields through the specific analogy with gravitational fields, which students typically understand more intuitively, then develops the distinct features of electrostatics — superposition, charge quantization, the conductor as an equipotential surface — where the analogy breaks down. Oscillations and waves are taught with strong emphasis on the physical concept of energy exchange between kinetic and potential stores as the mechanism of oscillation, because this physical picture makes SHM equations feel descriptive rather than arbitrary. I address the specific challenge of multi-concept Physics problems — questions that require combining mechanics, energy, and electromagnetism or other topic combinations — through systematic strategy development for identifying which concepts apply and in what order. My teaching goal is a Physics student whose physical intuition and mathematical method are equally strong and mutually supporting.
