I ensure students understand why a method works, not just how to use it. For example, we don’t just “move the x to the other side” we explore the logic behind inverse operations. I often ask guiding questions rather than give direct answers. This builds critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Complex problems are broken into manageable steps. I gradually reduce support as the student gains confidence.
