About Pavni
Hi there! My name is [pavni], and I’ll be your math teacher. I want you to know right from the start: you don’t have to be “a math person” to succeed in math. You just need the right support, a bit of patience, and someone to help you see that math is a skill — not a talent — and that skill can be learned by anyone. I’m here to help you build confidence, understand concepts clearly, and even learn to enjoy solving problems. Math isn’t just about numbers — it’s about patterns, logic, and learning how to think in new ways. And those are skills you’ll use for the rest of your life. In my class, you’ll never be judged for asking a question. I want you to speak up, try things, make mistakes, and learn from them. I’ll be right there with you to guide, explain, and encourage. Whether you’re trying to pass a test, improve your grades, or just finally “get” math — I’m excited to work with you and help you reach your goals. Let’s do this — one step at a time. pavniYour Math Teacher

My Approach as a Math Teacher As a math teacher, I believe in building confidence first, then competence. Many students struggle with math because they fear it — my goal is to replace that fear with understanding and curiosity. I help students see math not as a list of rules, but as a language of logic and problem-solving that they can master step by step. Teaching Techniques and Methods I use a variety of methods depending on the student’s needs and learning style: Step-by-step explanations that break down complex problems into manageable parts Guided practice, where students solve problems with coaching before trying independently Real-world examples that show how math is useful and relevant Socratic questioning, encouraging students to explain their thinking Visual aids and tools, like graphs, number lines, and models, especially for visual learners Frequent checks for understanding (mini-quizzes, verbal questions, or practice exercises) I also integrate digital tools (Desmos, GeoGebra, or online whiteboards) to make learning more interactive, especially in online sessions. Typical Class Structure Each session is designed to be clear, focused, and engaging. A typical class might follow this pattern: Warm-up / Review (5–10 minutes) Quick recap or short problem to activate prior knowledge New Concept Explanation (15–20 minutes) Direct teaching using examples and questions Guided Practice (15–20 minutes) Working through problems together Independent Practice / Assessment (10–15 minutes) Student applies the concept, with feedback Wrap-up and Summary (5 minutes) Key takeaways + preview of next topic What Makes Me a Unique Teacher I’m patient and encouraging, creating a safe space where students can make mistakes and learn I focus on building strong foundations, especially in algebra, geometry, and problem-solving I adapt to each learner, offering different strategies until the concept clicks I celebrate small wins to build confidence and motivation I use games, challenges, and logic puzzles to make math fun and memorable Who My Classes Are For School children (Grades 5–12) – Homework help, test prep, or building confidence in math basics High school students – Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and exam preparation (GCSE, SAT, etc.) College-level students – Support with introductory math, pre-calculus, and applied problem-solving Adults – Math refresher courses, test prep (GRE, job exams), or personal growth
