About Stuart
I am a university researcher in chemistry, who has been teaching undergraduates since 2010.
I have a PhD in chemistry, and have worked as a chemist in industry and universities since 2007.
I have taught practical lab chemistry, tutorials on inorganic and physical chemistry and lectured on the chemistry of food and baking. I have taught over 300 undergraduate students over the years, and I have only had one student fail any of my courses!

I start each topic by establishing what the student already understands, and by finding out from them what their expectations are. This helps me design lessons that are specific to that student or group of students.
I prefer a mixed approach of chalk-and-talk style presentation, videos, practical demonstrations and worked examples.
