About Austin
At this point in my education, I have taken 8 chemistry courses ranging from one high school chemistry class up to Medicinal Chemistry at the doctorate level and have earned an A in every class. Additionally, my pharmacy school education has numerous other courses that incorporate chemistry into the curriculum, so one could say I have taken 20+ chemistry courses in that regard.
Furthermore, I am currently on the Dean's List at the UIC - College of Pharmacy after earning a 4.0 GPA for my second semester in a row. Also, I have recently been inducted into the school's Rho Chi Honor Society, exclusive to the top 20% of students.
When it comes to my tutoring background, I have 2 years of professional tutoring experience and many more years of freelance work. During my professional experience, I thoroughly enjoyed tutoring General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. Later on, I was also chosen to be the study group leader for Organic Chemistry I and II, where I led study sessions and exam reviews for upwards of 25 students at a time.
At this point, I am also happy to tutor students in Biochemistry and Medicinal Chemistry if needed!

A major benefit of my many years of tutoring experience is that is has allowed me to work individually with a diverse set of students from many different backgrounds. I can assure you that patience is one of my strong suits and I pride myself in having the ability to individualize tutoring sessions to each person. If one method/technique is not working, do not worry, I am great at finding which one works best for you.
My typical tutoring session includes providing me with a background in what material you are currently needing help with (preferably at least 24 hours in advance) so that I can prepare adequately for our tutoring session. This can be as easy as emailing me a copy of your homework assignment or letting me know which chapters of your textbook you would like us to focus on. During our study session, I typically like to walk through a handful of problems myself and then allow you to practice afterwards.
Please feel free to ask questions (the more the better)! For virtual tutoring sessions, I have a touch-screen computer which allows me to screen-share my screen with you and we can work on problems together.
