About Ameet
I'm a Biochemistry undergraduate with a genuine love for biology, and I want to share that passion with GCSE students. Having achieved 9 grade 9s at GCSE (including Biology), 3 As at A-Level, and an A* in my EPQ, I know how tough these exams can feel—and how rewarding they are with the right support. Biology has always fascinated me, and it's what inspired my degree choice. As a former deputy head boy, I've always enjoyed helping younger students. I became a tutor to make biology less overwhelming, using the same strategies that helped me succeed. I’m not just here to teach—I care about each student’s journey. I understand the pressures of GCSEs and aim to build both confidence and a genuine appreciation for the subject. With the right encouragement, every student can thrive.

As a current Biochemistry undergraduate who recently achieved 7 grade 9s at GCSE and 3 As at A-Level, I understand exactly what students face today. My teaching methodology focuses on breaking down complex biological concepts using visual aids, real-world examples, and active learning techniques that I know work - because I used them myself. I offer 60-90 minute sessions that combine concept explanation, worked examples, practice questions, and exam technique development, all tailored to each student's learning style. My experience as deputy head boy gave me extensive mentoring skills, while my recent academic success means I have fresh insight into current GCSE marking schemes and requirements. My lessons are designed for GCSE Biology students (ages 14-16) at all levels - from those needing foundational support to high achievers targeting grades 8-9. I'm particularly effective because I can relate to current GCSE pressures and know the specific study methods that deliver top results.
