About Lewis

Hi, I'm Lewis! I'm a friendly and approachable university student with previous experience tutoring GCSE Maths and Physics.

I aim to make learning enjoyable and easy to understand by breaking down difficult topics into simple steps. I tailor my lessons to each student's needs, helping them build confidence, improve their understanding and develop exam techniques.

I'm patient, reliable and passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals in a supportive and encouraging environment.

About the lesson

I'm a university student with previous experience tutoring GCSE Maths and Physics. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I aim to make my lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs.

I believe the best way to learn Maths and Physics is through understanding concepts rather than simply memorising formulae. My lessons focus on breaking down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps, using clear explanations, real-world examples and plenty of practice questions.

My lessons typically last 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student's needs. A typical lesson includes:
A quick recap of previous topics and identifying any areas of difficulty.
A clear, step-by-step explanation of new concepts.
Guided practice questions to reinforce understanding.
GCSE past-paper and exam-style questions to develop exam technique.
A short review of progress and areas to focus on next time.

I have previously tutored students in GCSE Maths and Physics, helping them strengthen their understanding of challenging topics and develop their confidence when tackling exam questions. As a university student, I understand the pressures of studying and preparing for exams, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

My lessons are suitable for GCSE Maths and Physics students in Years 9–11, whether they're looking to improve their grades, prepare for upcoming exams or simply gain a better understanding of the subjects.
I can support students working towards both Foundation and Higher Tier GCSE Maths, adapting the difficulty and pace of lessons to suit their ability.

My goal is to make Maths and Physics feel less intimidating and help every student reach their full potential.
