About Adriza

Hi, I’m Adriza! I’m a Peer Mentor at UTS, where I tutor students who are struggling with their science units. I’m also completing Bachelor of Science with a GPA of 6.7/7, and I’m heading into marine biology.

I know how it feels to be lost in a unit. I had to learn how to study in a new system fast. So I explain things the way I wish someone had explained them to me: clearly, step by step, with the “why” behind each answer.

I’m patient and encouraging, and I keep lessons low-pressure so you feel comfortable asking anything. My goal is simple. You leave each session understanding the content and feeling more confident about it.

My approach
I teach for understanding first, memorization second. I start with what you already know, then build up. Tricky ideas get a plain-language analogy, then the proper definition, because exams reward precise terms. I ask “why” a lot, show my reasoning, then get you to try the next problem yourself.

[60 minutes], with [90 minutes] for exam prep. Quick recap, new concept, practice questions, summary.

Experience
I’m doing Bachelor of Science at UTS (GPA 6.7/7) and heading into marine biology. I work at my uni as a tutor and regularly tutor students who are struggling, so I’m used to rebuilding confidence as well as content.

Who it’s for
Any student from year 1 to year 11-12 in biology, chemistry, physics, math, and general science. Great if you’re lost in class, behind, or prepping for exams. Sessions are patient and low-pressure, so no question is too silly.
