About Iris

As an international high school student, I usually helped my classmates with their schoolworks by proofreading and editing their writings, and give them new perspectives about the interpretation of text. *Even a native Chinese student can learn from me about reading and writing skills*, so you can definitely learn something from my class!! Not only I can help you to lay solid foundation of basic Chinese, I can also help you with more advanced stuffs: Chinese culture, Chinese ancient poems and Chinese contemporary novels and plays.

From my experience in school, my writing and reading skills are no doubt the TOP in all school I have attended and my writing is always ambitious and has unique style as I love reading and learning from those masterpieces for improvement. I would say: never stop improving is my motif.

Also I am easygoing and warm-hearted, if you have any problems when you learn Chinese, feel free to ask me: I am absolutely willing to help you to fix your problems, and as a student, I understand your worries and concerns when learning Chinese.

About the lesson

Basically it is no doubt that I can teach the basic Chinese phonetics and Chinese vocabularies for you to use in everyday conversation. SO if you didn't know anything about Chinese character or pronunciation, *no worries*, with my help, you can absolutely grasp the basics in an understandable way.

Also if you are interested in ancient Chinese like 文言文, I can help as well, but I suggest you study that when you have laid enough basics or you may understand a word about that.

#Teaching approach
I usually helped my classmates with their schoolworks by proofreading and editing their writings, and give them new perspectives about the interpretation of text, so I am quite familiar with how to get along with students and how to use an approachable way to deepen their understand easily.

#Teaching plan
In my first lesson, I may wish to give a mini test to know your level of knowledge after you self-report it in the consulting stage. Then I will design the curriculum to personalize the course according to your level and your needs like building up the foundation of learning Chinese or something else.

#Class Target
Finally, I am fluent in English and proficient in Chinese, and my class is for everyone who interested in Chinese or Chinese culture or who want to fulfill the level of everyday conversation. Because I am quite busy in my application year, my availability is only weekend afternoon or evening (Beijing time), but you can choose other time when summer holiday or Christmas is coming.
