About Amelia
I'll be the first engineer in my family. Getting a bachelor's in chemical engineering with a minor in mathematics at Texas A&M University, College Station. Also, I was on the dean's list last summer for getting a 4.0 while taking 12 hours of rigorous engineering curriculum. Besides that I've been working on a couple renewable energy based projects and have internship experience in NY and TX, feel free to ask me about either!

I've been through SAT tutoring before so I'm well aware of how it feels to struggle with certain subjects; I'm here to let you know it'll be okay. Using my strong fundamental knowledge of mathematics and chemistry I'd make a personalized plan after meeting with each student and understanding their goals. For example if a student was struggling in their precalculus class I'd go over key concepts with them to see what areas need improvement and focus on understanding the basics before moving into the complex mathematical relations. I want to make sure students don't feel overwhelmed while maintaining a sense of discipline and motivating students to want to understand what they're learning.

Perfect! Amelia and I had a great review session of calculus 1 for engineers. I'm in Math 151 at Texas A&M and had struggled on my first exam. She properly explained how to perform high level derivatives and integrals and helped me make sense of them in a more understanding way. If you want a good tutor to give you personal insight in a way your professor can't, Amelia can help like she did with me!
