About Jonas
I’m a native English speaker from the United States. I hold a degree in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse, which means I’ve studied the power of language - how we use it to communicate clearly, think critically, and connect across cultures. I bring that same focus into my lessons, helping students feel confident, fluent, and natural in English. I’ve worked with people from all backgrounds to improve their speaking and writing skills, and I tailor each session to the learner’s needs—whether it’s grammar, vocabulary, conversation, or academic and professional English. My lessons are welcoming, practical, and designed to help you reach your goals in a way that feels both relaxed and effective.

a.) About My Teaching
As a native English speaker with a degree in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse, I take a student-centered approach that builds confidence, clarity, and real-world communication skills. My lessons are flexible and personalized to each student’s goals and learning style, with a focus on practical, fluent use of English - not just memorizing rules.
I help students understand how the language works in everyday speech, writing, and professional contexts. My sessions include guided conversation, vocabulary building, grammar support, and the use of real-life materials like articles, videos, and role-plays to make lessons engaging and effective.
b.) What a Lesson Looks Like
A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up and review (5-10 min), followed by a main focus (20-25 min) - grammar, writing, conversation, or vocabulary—then hands-on practice and feedback (25-30 min). Every session is adapted to your level and goals, and I create a supportive space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.

I work with teens and adults at all levels, including:
• Beginners and intermediate learners building fluency

writing
