About Kieran
I am a Design Engineer with around four years of practical experience working in the mechanical engineering industry. I use Solid Edge professionally to produce 3D models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings, and I also have experience using SolidWorks.
I hold a Level 3 BTEC in Engineering and a Level 3 NVQ in Technician Engineering. Having progressed from college into an engineering design career myself, I understand both the academic and practical skills students need to develop.
I am patient, approachable and enjoy explaining complicated processes in clear, manageable steps. My aim is to help students become confident using CAD independently while also showing how the skills they are learning are applied in a real engineering workplace.

My lessons are practical, friendly and tailored to your current ability, whether you are completely new to CAD or studying GCSE Design & Technology, GCSE Engineering or BTEC Engineering.
During each lesson, you will operate the CAD software while I guide you step by step. We can cover sketching, constraints, 3D modelling, extrusions, cuts, holes, patterns, assemblies and producing accurate engineering drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
A typical lesson lasts one hour and includes a practical modelling exercise, help with any areas you are struggling with and a short task to practise independently. I focus on helping you understand the correct modelling process and develop skills you can use confidently on future projects.
I can also provide guidance with coursework and assignments, although all assessed work must remain the student’s own. Lessons are available online through screen sharing or in person around Chichester.
