About Ron

Hi, I'm a recent IB Diploma graduate (scored 35 points total with a Grade 6 in IB Higher Level Math) currently pursuing my studies in Data Science right here in Nairobi.

I know firsthand how overwhelming Math can feel when it's presented as just endless formulas to memorize. For a long time, I struggled with that traditional style of learning. Everything changed when I started looking at Math through a problem-solving and data lens—treating it like a puzzle rather than a chore. That shift not only boosted my grades, but it also inspired me to dive into tech and data science.

I teach because I love helping students have that exact same "aha!" moment. There’s nothing better than watching a student go from feeling stuck and frustrated to solving tough past-paper questions with total confidence.

As a younger tutor who recently went through rigorous international exams myself, I bridge the gap between traditional teaching and how students actually learn best today. I bring patience, modern practical examples, and a clear, structured approach to every single session. Whether you need to catch up, build solid study habits, or prep for final exams, I'm here to support you every step of the way

About the lesson

I’m an IB Diploma graduate (scored 35 points total with a Grade 6 in IB Math) currently studying Data Science.

How I Help My Students:

We build intuition first: I break down hard topics using simple visual examples and real-world logic so students actually get why a formula works.

Practice: We start with easy problems to get comfortable, then move straight into past-paper exam questions so there are no surprises on test day.

Active learning: I regularly have students explain concepts back to me in their own words. If they can teach it to me, I know they’ve truly mastered it.

Length: 45 minutes for younger students, or 75 minutes for high schoolers/exam prep.

Who it's for: Primary, Junior Secondary, and High School students (Ages 8–18) studying IB, IGCSE, CBC, or 8-4-4.
