About Andrea
I love learning and sharing what I know, and I bring that passion into every lesson. As a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan, I understand that traditional methods can feel boring or ineffective, especially for older learners. That’s why I use creative, relaxed approaches that make Mandarin easier to pick up and more enjoyable. I believe everyone has a unique way of learning, and I adapt my teaching to suit each student. Having lived in New Zealand for most of my life, I combine cultural insight with language expertise, and I welcome learners of all ages who want to discover the joy of Mandarin.

Mandarin doesn’t have to be difficult — with the right approach, it can be fun and rewarding. My lessons use images, gestures, and lively conversation to engage multiple senses and make learning stick. Classes are usually one hour, but flexible to your needs. As a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan, fluent in reading, writing, and speaking, I bring energy, authenticity, and creativity to every session. I welcome learners of all ages and levels, and I believe that playful, relaxed lessons are the key to success. You’ll finish each class with a sense of achievement and the excitement to keep practicing Mandarin in everyday life.
