About Wayne
Hi! I'm a passionate musician and drummer with over 15 years of experience in music. I have achieved Grade 8 in both Practical Music and Music Theory, and I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for music with others.
Whether you're completely new to drums or already have some experience, I believe learning music should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I take a patient and encouraging approach to teaching, while still helping students build strong fundamentals and make consistent progress.
My lessons are tailored to each student, taking into account your current ability, musical interests and personal goals. We can focus on developing technique, rhythm, coordination, timing, music theory, playing along to songs, or simply building the confidence to enjoy making music.
As someone who has spent many years developing my own musicianship, I understand that every student learns differently. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes without pressure, and gradually become a more confident musician.

With over 15 years of experience in music and a specialisation in drums, my goal is to help students discover the confidence, creativity and enjoyment that comes with learning to play music.
I have achieved Grade 8 in both Practical Music and Music Theory, giving me a strong foundation in musicianship as well as practical performance. As a drummer, I understand that learning an instrument is about much more than simply playing the correct notes or rhythms. It is about developing good technique, timing, musicality, confidence and, most importantly, enjoying the music you create.
My teaching approach is relaxed, patient and personalised. I adapt lessons to each student's ability, goals and musical interests rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you are picking up drumsticks for the very first time or already have some experience and want to take your playing further, I will structure lessons around helping you make real, noticeable progress.
In a typical lesson, we may work on technique, coordination, rhythm, timing, reading music, grooves, fills and songs, while also developing a strong understanding of the musical concepts behind what we are playing. I believe in balancing structured learning with the music that students actually enjoy, because lessons are much more rewarding when you are excited to play.
My lessons are primarily aimed at beginner and intermediate students, although I am happy to work with anyone who wants to develop their musical ability. Whether your goal is to learn drums as a hobby, play along to your favourite songs, improve your technique, strengthen your music theory knowledge or become a more confident musician, I will tailor the lessons to help you get there.
I teach in English and aim to create a friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace. My goal is not only to teach you how to play, but to help you become a more confident and well-rounded musician.
