About Dr Rachel

I have seven years' experience in correcting exams and essays at university level. I received a first-class honours in my Master's, receiving an 'A' for my Master's dissertation. I am on the Editorial Board for the journal of the Irish Association of Art Historians and have previously worked as the Art Editor of the University's paper, the University Observer. In Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin, I have given workshops on essay writing and I set up a daily writing group for postgraduate students. At Griffith College Dublin, I am a dissertation lecturer and supervisor.

About the lesson

I am available for proofreading, as well as giving advice on structuring, formatting, referencing. During my PhD, I received over 20 grants and awards and am also available to help with writing grant and funding applications. My lessons are 60 minutes and for university level. I am also available for proofreading without Zoom, where I can go through the document in detail. This includes going through literature reviews, grammar, syntax, formatting and referencing. This is charged at a rate of €50 per hour per 2000 words. This option is faster to get through proofreading. On Zoom, if we go through the proofreading together, we will get through around 1000 words per hour.

*NB* I do not have experience with systematic literature reviews. I can only offer assistance with traditional literature reviews.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the teacher's students.

Perfect! Rachel is an excellent tutor and helped me during an incredibly stressful period when I was under significant pressure and facing tight deadlines. I contacted her quite late, but despite the short notice, she was more than willing to help and that immediately reassured me. She quickly identified the areas I needed to prioritise and helped me create a clear, manageable plan despite the limited time. I highly recommend her.

I linked in with Dr Rachel Leckey who very kindly was able to offer me a lot of assistance on preparing for a research trip to Venice I was conducting. The information she provided enabled me to make the most out of the trip, gave me access to resources I wasn’t previously aware of and without her knowledge the visit definitely wouldn’t have been the success it was.
