About Daniel

Hello, my name is Dan and I'm a freelance drummer in South Manchester, I hold a bachelor's degree in Popular Music Performance and I've also started my MA in Music Performance at Salford University. I'm very passionate about music and I love being able to share my passion with others.

About the lesson

Lessons are aimed to get you prepared to play with others, expand your repertoire and build a solid foundation. We will look at how to use the great drum books (Syncopation, Stick Control, Rudimental Swing Solos) to come up with new ideas and explore the instrument, while building your coordination and technique.

Recommendations

Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.

I found Dan to be a very patient, responsive and imaginative teacher, and I highly recommend him.
I appreciated how flexible he was in customising the lessons based on my interests and progress. There was a good balance between covering the fundamentals and playing for fun and enjoyment, but if I wanted us to drill down into any part then he could provide further explanation and exercises on the fly. This provided a very encouraging environment for my learning

Dan is a great drum teacher. He is really engaging, very gentle and kind - and my son loves his lessons with him. He is a great musician which is inspiring to my son. My son has come on a lot and is passionate about music, tapping out drum beats everywhere- in the car, during dinner. Thanks Dan!
