I'm an Economics PhD with 20 years of university teaching experience, now dedicating my expertise to helping A-Level and GCSE students unlock their potential in Economics.
I bring a depth of knowledge that comes from teaching economics at the highest level, combined with a fresh understanding of what A-Level students actually need. My university background means I can explain complex concepts with clarity and show you the 'why' behind economic theory—not just memorization.

About the lesson

My lessons combine academic rigor with practical exam success strategies. You'll benefit from university-level expertise delivered in an accessible, student-focused way.
What we'll work on together:

Core economic theory explained clearly, with particular strength in microeconomics (market structures, elasticity, market failure, etc.)
Essay technique and evaluation skills—this is where most marks are won or lost at A-Level. I'll teach you how to construct arguments, evaluate effectively, and write with analytical precision
Diagram mastery—drawing them accurately, labelling correctly, and explaining their economic significance
Smart use of AI—how to use tools like ChatGPT for understanding concepts and practice, while developing genuine knowledge
Real-world application—connecting theory to current economic events to make content memorable and engaging

A-Level Economics (all exam boards: AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
GCSE Economics
University-level Economics for undergraduates needing support

Lesson format:
Sessions are interactive and tailored to your needs. Whether you're struggling with specific topics, aiming to move from B to A*, or preparing for exams, we'll create a structured plan. I provide resources between sessions and you're welcome to send questions between lessons.
Location: In-person tutoring available in Leicester, or online sessions via Zoom/Skype for students anywhere in the UK.
