About Courtney
As a Media Specialist with nine years of experience, I pride myself on aligning the school library program with the school's mission, goals, and objectives, which is essential to incorporate into the school's instructional program. I enjoy literacy and exciting students through storytelling. I have acquired the necessary skills and the ability to obtain the resources needed for teachers to incorporate new materials into their lessons. I interact with all the students and staff members in the school through my lessons and being of assistance with technology needs.
Apart from being a Media Specialist, I am also an experienced teacher with 22 years in education who enjoys advocating for children through teaching and during an internship with the Mental Health Association of Greensboro. Using the skills acquired through my academic training and previous employment experiences, I can offer a wealth of knowledge on appropriate childcare practices and implement plans and activities to meet the developmental needs of students.

My teaching method is visual, hands-on, role-playing, student-centered learning, and educational games. A typical lesson would consist of myself teaching the standards and modeling how to apply the standards then having the student work on the standard for clarity. The lessons would apply any grade level or class that needs my tutoring assistance.
