About Freya
I am a graduate student working towards my Teaching degree. My GPA is 3.71 as a full-time-student. I love of reading and writing, and have taken many literature classes over the years.
Classes I have taken include Language and Literature Development, Child Development, and Children's Literature. I can provide a full copy of my transcript upon request.
I truly believe that storytelling is one of the things that make us human - reading is one of the ways that we connect with ourselves and with each other. Reading isn't always easy, but it is always worth the effort. I'm willing to put that effort in to helping you read your very best.

- I find books on subjects and stories that my student is interested in.
- We read books together, practicing pronunciation, using context clues to learn new words, and talking about what we read in order to increase literacy comprehension.
My lessons are for grades K-8, both reluctant and enthusiastic readers, who want or need more support in their reading skills.
Teachers are great, but there are a lot of kids and subjects. Sometimes, a little personalization and one-on-one support means a world of difference to young readers.
I'm here to be that support and bring that personalization that everybody deserves.

Perfect! My 10-year old cousin instantly like Freya and was excited enough to work on his writing that we started immediately. She quickly noticed a reading issue that we hadn't noticed yet and provided a very reasonable homework plan for him to tackle on his own time. I'm happy that I chose Freya!
