About Tom

My guitar teaching approach is built on four key principles: flexibility, problem-solving, cultural sensitivity, and accountability. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to fit your unique needs and goals. Whether you want to focus on specific styles, techniques, or songs, I create a personalized plan that keeps you engaged and motivated.

I encourage a problem-solving mindset during our sessions. If you encounter challenges, we will work together to find solutions, whether it's mastering a difficult chord or improving your improvisation skills. This helps build your confidence and resilience as a musician.

Cultural sensitivity is also important to me. Music is a universal language, and I respect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of my students. I incorporate various musical styles and traditions into our lessons, helping you appreciate the rich tapestry of guitar music.

Finally, I hold both myself and my students accountable. We will set clear goals and regularly review your progress to ensure you stay on track. Together, we'll celebrate your achievements and work through any obstacles, making your learning journey enjoyable and fulfilling!
