About Amber

I am a fun-loving tutor who is always up for a laugh. I love maths, and I truly believe that everyone else can love it too; all it takes is someone to show you how. That is my mission, to share my love of maths and have fun while doing so! Alongside my passion for maths, I have a master's degree in mathematical sciences from the University of Exeter. While studying for my degree, I embarked on an exciting, award-winning project exploring creative approaches to maths education, ultimately securing employment from the education incubator to continue this work. This involved creating over 50 exciting activities, which were shared with schools across the country. It was this experience that set me on my journey to share my love for maths with approaches that students genuinely enjoy! I have now tutored for over 4 years, working with wonderful families from the home ed community as well as many brilliant SEN and neurodivergent students, with a diverse range of needs. I build a bond with families based on trust and understanding, ensuring you and your child feel supported, prioritised and heard.

About the lesson

I offer an exciting alternative to classroom maths education, prioritising confidence, engagement and inspiration. Sessions and activities are tailored to your child's unique interests, be that gaming, fashion, entrepreneurship or anything else! This approach to education is excellent for anxious and reluctant learners as well as those who have already begun to find a mathematical spark. I am dedicated to supporting my students in obtaining the necessary skills and qualifications that they need to thrive in later life, unlocking the doors to future opportunities. I support students in obtaining all levels of functional skills qualifications, GCSEs, IGCSEs and A-levels, in a manner that fosters confidence and avoids stress.
