About Keen

As an undergraduate studying psychology at the University of Cambridge, I am acutely aware of the challenges (and the joys) that come with studying psychology academically. Because of this, I realise that importance of presenting the often complicated network of psychology in digestible chunks to aid your academic success. Having worked with students to assist with their exam preparation, I am able to customise lessons to best benefit each learner based on your strengths. Teaching psychology is a delicate balance of effective story telling to understand theories, analysis to evaluate them, and creativity to apply them, and with my teaching experience, I am able to mix those skills to provide effective lessons for you. The best reward as an educator is to witness a moment where everything clicks together in your mind, so I am constantly motivated to ensure that you get the most out of lessons!

About the lesson

My focus is to develop a toolkit for you to use beyond lessons to support your interest in psychology and succeed in any examinations you may take. Having taught students from primary to secondary to helping with university admissions, I am mindful that every person has unique strengths that we can use to propel your academic success.

Through friendly hour-long (ish!) lessons that should feel more like a conversation than a lecture, I hope to find your individual interests and guide you through content in a digestible way - think more puzzle solving rather than just giving answers. I welcome anyone looking for support with psychology or exam revision, be that at a GCSE, A-Level, university admissions prep, or whether you're simply keen on knowing more about how our mind works!

Perfect! My daughter is working with Keen to prepare for an Oxbridge interview. Keen is very good at communicating. He is encouraging and excellent at giving insight into the interview process, exploring the possibility of more in-depth responses to potential questions. He is a very good tutor and my daughter recommends him!

It is clear that she has an interest in exploring psychology further, and does possess a good baseline level of knowledge of her current studies. With more opportunities to practice, she will improve her ability to structure answers to novel questions clearly and approach them in a clear yet thoughtful way!

Keen is an excellent tutor! He carefully lays the foundation knowledge for his students, whilst pushing them to think critically beyond the curriculum. I met him at the University of Cambridge, where he is studying Psychology as a Jardine Scholar. Despite his impressive background, Keen is a patient and approachable tutor who is able to break down complex topics into digestable chunks.
