About Eliza
In my experience, any material can be learned more easily by a student who feels validated and understood by their educator- not by expecting a student to be blindly enthusiastic about a subject they’re struggling in.
As a grown up gifted kid I know how it feels to learn differently, so it’s important for me to understand my students’ thinking process so I can meet them where they’re at.
My own struggle with algebra in middle school led me to work with my first tutor whose help changed the trajectory of my education and career, which is why I especially love helping students with similar experiences.

- Observation of your thinking processes
- Collaborating on the material together so we can gently interrupt and pivot as needed
- Building upon the fundamentals in a way that feels like a fun challenge rather than an insurmountable climb
- NEVER trick questions, “gotchas”, or shaming
