About Tom

I am an instructor of Engineering with Babcock and Physics graduate. I currently cover topics such as electronics, radar, mechanics and physics. I have a degree in physics from the University of Bath with additional qualifications in languages such as Spanish and French.

I also have qualifications in essay writing subjects such as history and an EPQ (extended project qualification) with additional GCSE’s in Biology, Chemistry, Latin/, English Literature and Language, Geography and . I have experience in the 11 plus and 13 plus exams having attended a selective school from year 8 through to year 13.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is based on establishing a clear understanding of the fundamentals of the subject, from which we can work towards expanding to the fullest extent possible without compromising our understanding of the core aspects of the subject. I put emphasis on meaningful practice and maintaining progress through teaching the tutee how to properly learn, research and prepare for exams themselves. Being able to teach transferable and long lasting skills is the cornerstone how I teach and I wish for my tutees to take these skills with them throughout their education.
