About Maria
I am a high school graduate working on a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Warwick University. I am keen on pursuing a career in this field and I make extensive use of my passion for science in order to easily connect with my students.
I enjoy the challenge of preparing students for important exams. I have scored high in my final high school exams and I can provide valuable insight to my students. I have a vast tutoring experience which has helped me develop the crucial skills required for this job such as patience and advanced organisational aptitudes.
As a high school student, I have successfully helped friends and classmates prepare for Chemistry, Physics and Maths exams. The great results achieved by my previous students have boosted my confidence in my tutoring abilities. Besides, I learnt to communicate effectively in a clear, simple way.
I also competed in regional and national Physics and Chemistry contests. My experience in competitive Physics and Chemistry made me a more responsible person and helped me express my ideas in a more rigorous manner. The scientific knowledge I have amassed helps me cater to the intellectual needs of those who wish to study things at a greater depth.

I prefer to work with a single student or in small groups in order to cater to a student' s individual needs. I discuss with the student and his parents before I begin tutoring him in order to understand in depth my student's needs.
As a science tutor, I teach my student to convert information into knowledge by teaching the student to contextualize, analyze and debate. I also believe in the importance laboratory classes as a means of understanding Physics and will make extensive use of youtube videos to show them how applying scientific concepts in real-life situations can improve daily life and our society as a whole.
