About Chasity

I am a professional ESL Teacher with 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience, both in the classroom and online. I began tutoring adults in Literacy and Reading immediately after my high school graduation. During this time, I served as a substitute teacher and private tutor in the subjects of English, Science, and Elementary Math. For the past 2 years, I have taught English exclusively to students of all ages, with a focus on children between the ages of 3-12. I am also a member in good standing with the International Association of Professional Writers and Editors (Letter of Recommendation is available upon request).

I specialize in tutoring students from Pre-K to 10th grade in English, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Reading Comprehension. I have also tutored in Elementary Math and Science as well.

About the lesson

Do you learn better through conversation, reading, or writing? Every student is a unique individual, so each lesson we have is customized according to your preferred lesson type and needs, allowing us to focus on your personal strengths and weaknesses through our learning process.

My lessons are based on my system of 3 simple principles: Grammar. Action. Practice. We will focus on fun, tailored exercises that will build your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Together we will build your skills by concentrating on:

Grammar: Building vocabulary and grammar skills

Action: Using your new skills in enjoyable reading, speaking, and role playing exercises

Practice: Practicing reading comprehension and your new grammar skills

Tools that I use include flash cards, videos, PDF files, audio recordings/songs, pictures, quizzes, and challenging homework assignments.
