About Ruby

I am a recent graduate from the University of Liverpool currently studying an English Literature and History BA at Durham University. I‘m originally from Manchester and live between there and Durham. I am passionate about teaching and would love to help people build their confidence, skills, and passion. I received personal tutoring and it was transformative for me and I would love for others to have the same experience.

About the lesson

I am extremely passionate about the subjects I teach. I approach tutoring with patience, empathy, and enthusiasm. It’s important to me to make reading and writing accessible to all. I hope to not only build confidence but also make learning fun!

Ruby has been an excellent English literature tutor for my child during their high school exam preparation. She explains complex texts clearly, builds confidence, and tailors each session to the exam requirements. I’ve seen a real improvement in both understanding and written responses, and my child feels far more prepared and motivated. I would highly recommend Ruby to any parent looking for supportive and effective English tutoring.
