About Will

I've always wanted to teach due to being involved in various extracurricular activities where I have had the responsibility of leadership and aiding others in certain activities so they can achieve their goals. I am also a writer myself, constantly writing poetry and entering certain competitions across the globe. I have had work published in University magazines and for various events throughout the year such as Black History Month. Teaching is one of the most important jobs in the world and I want to make that difference to the next generation of learners.

About the lesson

For starters, my rate of £18.00 comes from the fact that each and every one of my sessions is specifically tailored to student needs. I use our first free session to get to know the student, form a study plan for the future and make sure that student is catered for perfectly.

I look for 5 things in a student to promote sessions, that is:
- Which study methods do they answer to the most?
- What sort of activities engage that student the most?
- Is that student aware on how tutoring can support them?
- How can I make a professional and productive bond with that student?
- How can I motivate and reward that student?

My techniques involve using concrete ideas to understand and become more familiar with areas of English as a subject. Using unfamiliar examples to give my students that edge over other students who may be just familiar with standard material. Furthermore, having a comfortable bond between me and the student so learning can be more efficient and innovative. If I know your ability, I'll know how to construct those improvements for you. Plus, still being in education, having that familiarity between me and the student makes bonding easier and more effective.

Details

My £18.00 charge is broken down into the following areas:

£12.00 - For the 1hr session itself.

£6.00 - Preparing the session (PowerPoint, virtual learning materials) which are specifically catered to a student's study plan (which we make in our first free session).

I usually conduct sessions over Zoom and complete payments over a simple bank transaction rather than through Superprof. We can organise this in our first free session.
