About Mohammad

Hi, I’m an enthusiastic and approachable English tutor based in London, with a real passion for helping students unlock their full potential. I specialise in English Language and Literature at GCSE level, and also work with younger students at Key Stage 2 and 3. I achieved Grade 9s in both English Literature and Language, and I bring that same high standard to my teaching. I know what examiners are looking for, and I enjoy helping students develop the confidence, structure and insight needed to achieve top marks. My tutoring style is calm, encouraging and tailored to each student. I break down complex ideas into simple steps, give clear feedback, and focus on long-term improvement. Whether a student is aiming for a Grade 5 or pushing towards a Grade 9, I work hard to help them see real progress — and to enjoy the subject along the way.

About the lesson

I take a structured yet flexible approach to tutoring, tailored to suit each student’s individual needs and learning style. My lessons are designed to build confidence, deepen understanding, and develop strong analytical and writing skills essential for success in English Language and Literature. Each session lasts one hour and typically includes a mix of reading comprehension, essay planning and writing, language analysis, and exam technique. I use past papers, model answers, and engaging literary texts to make lessons both effective and enjoyable. I also focus on helping students expand their vocabulary, improve their grammar, and structure their answers clearly and persuasively. I achieved a Grade 9 in both English Literature and Language at GCSE, and I have experience tutoring students from Key Stage 2 up to Key Stage 4. Whether your child needs support preparing for exams, improving coursework, or building foundational skills, I aim to make every lesson meaningful, motivating, and focused on measurable progress. My lessons are suitable for students aged 8 to 16, including those preparing for SATs, school entrance exams, or GCSEs.
