About Elysia

Hello there! My name is Elysia (eh-lee-see-yuh) and I would be more that honored to help you on your education journey. I am currently in college, working towards becoming an elementary school teacher. Some fun facts about me are: I graduated Highschool with a 4.0 GPA from the IB Diploma Program, which is a highly rigorous education program. After highschool, I spent 6 months living in Cape town, South Africa where I was able to help many communities and establish churches. Since I've been back in the states, I have spent the last three years working as an Instructional Aide for students between 3rd-8th grade. I am thankful for your interest in me as your tutor, and I would love to get to know you more as we go!

About the lesson

No matter the age, I can help to apply simple methods of thinking and strategies to help students better understand their topics. I cater to the individual's style of learning and do my best to ensure their success in the long run. I specialize in critical thinking skills, as well as analytical strategies in literature and writing. I always teach starting at the basics to help with understanding. My lessons are mainly geared for students anywhere between kindergarten - 12th grade.
