About Paul

Hello, I'm Paul I'm a native English teacher originally from London and have been teaching for 9 years.

I love helping my students improve their English in all areas but particularly conversation and to pass exams, I specialise in higher level students (B2, C1 and C2 )and IELTS and Cambridge First and Advanced exams.

My classes always have clear aims and structure tailored to your needs and interests. It's important that my lessons are useful, interesting, and as enjoyable as possible so students are motivated to study as much as they can and also feel confident using English in any situation they might need it.

I've travelled a lot and taught students from all over the world, I particularly understand the difficulties Spanish and Italian speakers have as I speak Spanish and am learning Italian.

I love language and I believe good communication is the key to positive relationships so my attitude is always relaxed, positive and encouraging.

My lessons are based on communication and your needs and personality, so they can be highly structured or more relaxed depending on your style and goals. It is very important to me that the lessons are useful, interesting, and a lot of fun and that you feel comfortable to ask for clarification and talk about any subject you like.

Paul was my teacher when I was preparing for the C2 exam of Cambridge. He really helped me understand what I needed to do to pass the exam, he helped me a lot to clarify my grammar doubts and I strongly recommend his classes if you want to pass an exam and get great results. His lessons were instructive but also entertaining. So, also in the case of a difficult exam, his communicative skills and ability to lighten up the lessons made exam preparation easier, understandable and key for me to progress in the right direction.
