About Jadriene

Hello! My name is Jadriene (you can call me Jade). I was born and raised in the Philippines but have now been based in BC, Canada for 8 years.

For five years, my family and I have hosted an international student homestay program and have hosted students from 10+ different countries in Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Europe. Most students we hosted come from China, Korea, Japan, and Mexico.

I also led international students in Japan in their two-week English classes in Canada.

During our homestay program experience, I loved leading people around English-speaking cultures and I have learned so much about other cultures.

As a Filipino-Canadian, English is also my second language, and during my exchange with a lot of internationals, I am able to relate so closely to their struggles and triumphs in their language learning journey. Through my years of practice, I am able to converse like a local North American and am now passionate about leading them to be the most confident English speaker they can be, in fact, I am on my way to obtaining my TEFL Certification as well as start a blog about being a young Filipino in Canada!

My hobbies are music, watching YouTube videos, learning other languages (currently learning French), and sharing memes with friends on social media.

I believe that the best qualities I have are Inclusivity, Emotional Intelligence, Cultural Sensitivity, Communication Skills, Teamwork, and Empathy.

Hello Global Friends!!

My name is Jadriene, (you can call me Jade) from BC, Canada and I would love to share the language of the world!

I am passionate about assisting fellow learners and travellers in their journey of English language learning and help them integrate into this new culture! As a Filipino-Canadian, English is my second language, so I am able to relate so closely to people learning English too, and through my years of struggle and trial and error, I am ready to share my experiences and lead them to be the most successful speakers you can be!! I am on my way to get my TEFL Certification to improve my skills as an English Teacher!

When I don't teach English, I love singing, learning another languages-French and starting with Italian too, sharing memes with friends and travelling! My goal is to travel to as much countries as possible and immerse myself with different cultures besides my own.

I am looking forward to help you create a amazing experience in your English learning journey!
