About Megan

I have studied at the University of Dundee and have obtained several degrees there:

First Class Joint Honours in English and History (2015)

Masters with distinction in Literature (Comics Studies)

PhD in Comics and Education (awaiting final result - due to graduate Nov 2020)

As part of my research I have worked facilitated workshops with children and organised conferences and public events and am a confident working in the community.

About the lesson

I like to adapt my teaching style based on the individual, although I understand some lessons must be taught using curriculum content, I enjoy learning about the student's interests and try to tailor their learning so that they are engaged and enjoy the experience more.

Although I am confident in my teaching abilities, I view my tutoring style as more of a partnership where both I and the student work together to resolve any issues or queries they may have. Having one on one teaching time is an experience that many people don't get enough of so it is important to establish a bond and understand the individual needs of that student.
