About Giselle

I am a bilingual university student with a passion for languages. I love traveling and the outdoors and spend a lot of time in Norway, where I spent my Erasmus semester (the nature there is beautiful!). That's why online classes are an easy option for me. I am a very social person and I really enjoy getting to know people, punishment and strict teaching is not my vibe! Learning should be fun :)

About the lesson

I use the "solar system theory" in my approach to teaching English, which means that I will introduce the language layer by layer, starting with the most common words, phrases, and tense(s). In doing so, I use materials from everyday life, such as articles, podcasts, you name it. Then we expand, step by step.

I like this approach because it gives more structure and accessibility to learning a language, which at times can feel a bit overwhelming.
Moreover, the pupil can use English in everyday life faster because we start with what is useful in the real world!

Of course I adapt to the level of the student and can always give explanations in Dutch or French when necessary.

Above all I want to give the learner the confidence to express themselves in English. Making mistakes is part of the learning process!

A prior conversation with the student helps me to adapt my lessons to your expectations. I will then make a personalised learning schedule .

- Would you like additional homework or small challenges between classes?
