About Marcus

Hello! I'm Marcus, a dedicated and approachable tutor who believes that learning should be both effective and enjoyable.

Having gone through my own academic and personal learning journeys, I understand that every student learns differently. Whether you're looking to strengthen your fundamentals, prepare for an important exam, or simply improve at your own pace, I strive to create a supportive and comfortable environment where questions are always welcome and mistakes are viewed as opportunities to learn.

I have studied and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws at SMU and would love to tutor anyone looking to get into the field of law or anyone who would like help with writing logically or building an argument.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy photography and exercise. Photography has taught me the value of patience, attention to detail, and seeing things from different perspectives, while exercise has instilled discipline, consistency, and a growth mindset—qualities that I bring into my teaching as well.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your learning goals!

About the lesson

My goal is not only to help students achieve their academic objectives but also to build their confidence and develop skills that will benefit them beyond the classroom.

Students often appreciate my dependable and patient approach. I take pride in being well-prepared, attentive to individual needs, and committed to helping each student make steady progress. I enjoy sharing not only knowledge but also practical lessons and experiences that have helped me succeed, so that students can learn more efficiently and avoid common pitfalls.

I aim to first find out more about an individual's learning style and preference and adapt my approach accordingly. I do not believe in a no one-size-fits-all approach and you can be assured that my lessons will play to your strengths.

Marcus is a really patient and helpful trainer! I started training with Marcus as someone with very little strength training experience, and he made the whole process much less intimidating than I expected.

He pays close attention to form, and always makes sure I understand the purpose behind each movement. The workouts are challenging enough to help me improve, but never feel overwhelming. His approach is always very simple and straightforward which I appreciate. (no complex routines that change frequently, workouts always consist of fundamental movements that we progressively improve and focus on)

Marcus focuses on building good habits and teaching the fundamentals so that I can eventually train confidently on my own. I am happy to say that the tips and habits that he has taught me still stick with me today and has helped me on my fitness journey.

I'd definitely recommend him to anyone who's new to the gym or looking for an approachable trainer who genuinely wants to help you build a strong foundation and focuses on building healthy habits that fit your schedule.
