About Brian
I am a mathematical modeller working for Northumbrian Water. I have a PhD mathematics and realy enjoy teaching the subject. I have taught at Sunderland collage and at the moment I lecture part time at Newcastle University on the MSc in Environmental Engineering.

I prefer the teacher-centred approach, with partial direct instruction to encourage passive learning, so that students can learn what they need to through listening and watching very precise instruction. I also like to promote debate between students themselves and the teacher.
