About Honor

I am an enthusiastic Tutor, Primary School teacher and Fine Art graduate. My strong passion for Art translates my creativity and exciting imagination. This enables me to adapt and evolve lesson planning and activities to meet the diverse needs of all learners, which I believe is crucial for engaging children in learning. My approachable, friendly and positive personality ensures that I motivate and encourage children to enjoy learning, I believe this is incredibly important to progress. My natural ethos is to be nurturing and help children reach their full potential. I tutor children at the start of their education in Early years, up to Year 6 in all areas of the curriculum. If your child needs support in any area, I will motivate and encourage them to reach their full potential and guide and support them on their journey. I have been teaching for 4 years in all age groups from 4-11 in various Primary Schools and have had lots of experience with interacting, tutoring and teaching online also. I have deep subject knowledge and a clear understanding of effective teaching styles and techniques to help children grow. If your child needs support in Phonics, Reading, Writing, Maths, 11+ exam preparation, or any other area. I am knowledgeable with exam boards for 11+, including GL Assessment, CEM, and FSCE. I am passionate about helping your child progress! My lessons run from 45 mins to 1hr where I will assess your child’s level with observations, questioning, regular feedback and clear communication and reviewing of learnings. I will organise a clear personalised learning plan/routine to meet your child’s needs and allow them to progress and achieve their goals and gain confidence. My sessions consist of; a clear learning goal, warm up; content delivery, modelling, practice and end with questioning, quizzing and reviewing what they’ve learnt to address any misconceptions and have a clear understanding of the children’s next steps. I endeavour to make my tutoring sessions welcoming, fun, interactive and motivating for all ages to help children enjoy learning.
