About Abigail

Hello, my name is Abi and I am a Law graduate from Magdalene College, University of Cambridge.

I take pride in my motivation and enthusiasm which is reflected in my academic achievements. I was the very first student from my school to gain a place at an Oxbridge College and I achieved this through sheer hard work and a desire to succeed. Further, I achieved 100% in every module of two of my A-Level subjects, Psychology and Law. I ensure that through my tutoring, this passion and work ethic is passed on to my students.

At University, I was elected as the Vice-President of the Cambridge University Law Society which enabled me to gain the skills required to balance the rigour of a Law degree and additional commitments. I take the approach that working hard gets results and over time, I have developed useful and interesting ways to revise and throughout my tutoring I like to put these methods in place.

I have past experience tutoring Law (around 40+ hours) and providing Oxbridge Admissions advice (around 35+ hours). I recently took part on a two-week Summer School in Cambridge where I was a Law Mentor. One of my main roles on this programme was to provide guidance on personal statements, conduct mock interviews and finally, run LNAT workshops. I have continued to work with some of these students, which I think reflects that I am trustworthy and reliable.

Additionally, last Summer I spent a month working in Jamaica on a Human Rights project which involved a significant amount of teaching to a wide range of students of mixed ages and abilities. Finally, I frequently assist my mother in helping to home educate my younger brother.

I am very flexible with timings and I am available for Skype sessions (my preferred method) or face-to-face tutoring. I am happy to provide a CV which sets out all of my academic and other achievements.
