About Marc

PEDAGOGICAL EXPERIENCES: 1) Private tutoring - Gymnasium / EPFL • Supervision and follow-up in mathematics and physics of gymnasium and Bachelor students - Active listening to the student's difficulties. Help with understanding by offering a personalized approach to the subject. 2) Official EPFL tutorials 2018-2019 • Supervision and help during exercise sessions in general quantum physics (PHY-207 (a) and (b)) - 28 times 2 hours - Empathy for the learner and his vision of the subject. Arouse curiosity by contextualizing the material. 2) One-off physics replacements at the Lycée-Collège de la Planta in Sion between September 2018 - June 2019 ½ Sion • Preparation and animation of physics lessons in secondary II - 15 hours over the year - Animation of a course according to a plan and imposed course objectives - Sensitivity to the return of comprehension of a class. Flexibility to adapt the angle of approach of a misunderstood development. • Personal success: Interest three visual arts option classes on the last day of the school year and the day of the 2019 women's strike. How: Choose a subject that applies to art: fractals - Transmit motivation and curiosity - Make the subject interactive and participatory - Thus complex concepts such as fractal dimensions or imaginary numbers become affordable. Future Experience: Application for the upper secondary school for the teaching of mathematics and physics in middle and high school.

About the lesson

I am considering two options with the objective of making you perceive continuity in mathematics / physics lessons. An essential to integrate the course material and understand where the course is heading. Physics and mathematics are affordable to everyone if one understands the continuity that lies behind them. 1) Autonomy and motivation present on your side => Few courses in response format to questions about your teacher's course or the exercises. General summary to highlight the heart of the course. 2) If you need direction and context for your course by another approach => I would prepare a reformulation of the course given by your teacher by highlighting the mathematical aspects (perhaps overlooked or considered acquired by your teacher ) to verify their acquisition. Depending on I could provide you with a framework for your work and act as a checker for your progress / preparation for the exams. Having said that, with learning physics and mathematics, the bulk of it will be up to you. A reformulation will be of help and will certainly help you not to get discouraged during difficulties. All the same, physics and mathematics will always be areas requiring an investment of time for revisions and practice through exercises.
